CREATIVE KETTLEBELLS & MULTI-DIRECTIONAL MOVEMENT

Take your kettlebell training off center on purpose to get stronger at every angle! 

This is class is programed toward Intermediate or more Experienced Beginner Students. It is not recommended for absolute beginners or folks with unmanaged pain and injury.  If you’re an Absolute Beginner - please click here to check out Kettlebells Made Simple


In this class we will playfully explore: 

  • Variations on the classic Get Up

  • Ground based/body weight mobility and movement preparations 

  • Rotational and spiraling kettlebell movements

  • Multi directional lunging, squatting, hinging and pressing

  • Traveling swings

  • Creative mini flows

  • Explosive power kettlebell drills

  • Asymmetric loading strategies and exercises

  • Isabelle occasionally forgetting her own sequences and stumbling over right and left cues (let’s just be honest) 

Equipment: 

  1. At least 2 kettlebells - one light, one heavy (preferably you have access to a medium weight as well) 

  2. One medium weight jump stretch resistance band:


How the class series works:

For 6 weeks, we’ll meet live every Saturday on ZOOM for a 45-55 minute class.  Each class will be recorded and available as a replay during the 6 weeks of the course. You’ll also have access to all the class recordings for 2 weeks AFTER the class series ends.


  • There is no test to determine what this means! I have accidentally stumbled into several classes that were “beyond my level” and ended up having a great time! I’ve also taken classes where I’ve been completely lost and frustrated. So, here are some general considerations:

    • Most moves beyond the absolute basics will be broken down at a “beginner level” so we are all on the same page (we won’t breakdown swings, cleans, snatches, or presses).

    • We will be doing loaded rotational movements - this can be great to develop a stronger back, but requires you to know how much load and how many reps will be appropriate for you. I will offer regressions and progressions, but you need to be well acquainted with how your body responds.

    • We will be doing multiple sets of two hand swings, single hand swings, swing cleans, push presses, and snatches. You can always stop, observe, rest whenever you want.

    • We will be quickly changing directions, and moving from kneeling to standing and back to kneeling

    • There will be some choreography or sequencing involved! So if you know you get totally lost when sequencing 3 or more movements together, then this class will either be a great challenge or completely frustrating.

  • I understand that you may be unsure if the class series is right for you, which is why I have a 7 day money back guarantee after the program has started. This means that if you realize the class isn’t for you after the first live session then you can get a full refund. No questions asked!

  • You will have access to all the class recordings in a class library. You’ll also get access to the classes for 2 weeks after the end of the live class schedule!

  • This depends on your level of pain or the nature of your injury. This class will move quickly and in varied planes of motion. Regressions and progressions will be offered, but modifying exercises for specific issues will not be offered.

    If you are unsure, please get clearance from a medical provider before starting any new exercise routine.

    If you are currently struggling with chronic pain that makes it difficult for you to perform day to day tasks or have a recent and active injury, then this program is not for you.

    However, if your pain is well managed or you have a history of injury and you have been cleared to exercise by your doctor, then this program is probably appropriate for you.
